In 2007, joined Toei Animation Co., Ltd. straight out of school as an assistant to the director (directing assistant). After being assigned to the "ONE PIECE" TV series, worked as an assistant director and core staff member on the launch of experimental titles such as "Hakaba Kitarō" (Fuji TV's noitaminA block) and "Trapeze (Kūchū Buranko)," as well as the "Precure" film series.
After serving as assistant director on the 2012 film "Asura," decided that "CG knowledge will be essential going forward" and moved into a CG Production Manager role. Spent about four years in management work while learning CG workflows and production budgeting hands-on in the field.
Prompted by the assistant director role on the 2016 original film "Poppin' Q," transitioned back into directing and storyboard work. Since then, has mainly handled directing and storyboards for the "Butt Detective (Oshiri Tantei)" TV series, while also serving as sub-leader of a DX (digital transformation) project for 2D animation workflows.
Left Toei Animation in 2022 to go independent. Currently working as a freelancer focused primarily on storyboards.
